Class Descriptions:
AIKIDO - Low Impact Aikido
The core principles of Aikido: energy flow and extension, moving from center, learning to relax under stress and connecting with your own personal and universal power are taught through individual movement and movement with a partner. The class also includes martial self defense techniques including energy awareness and basic releases from grabs. Teens and adults are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to have fun and learn. Please Note: This class contains no throws.
YOGA LIVE
Yoga Live integrates Kundalini yoga, modern rhythm and live music
MEDICAL QIGONG
Qigong is the Art of moving the universal energy or "Qi" through the body using breath, focused concentration and movement. Learn simple effective exercises to tonify, cleanse and regulate the body's internal organs and energetic systems.
THE NIA TECHNIQUE
Nia is an easy to follow, non-impact aerobic workout that leaves you feeling physically energized and emotionally vibrant. Nia combines concepts from the Martial arts, Dance arts and Healing arts. Nia is taught in 3 levels making it accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels.
PILATES MAT CLASS
Strengthen your core and align the whole body with corrective, therapeutic exercise. Use breath, precision and control as well as concentration to reach your potential for a healthy and balanced body.
PILATES COREPLAY
This class playfully blends Classical Pilates exercises with innovative core movements and non-impact cardio. Participants develop expertise in using Fit Balls, Magic Circles, Foam Rollers and other tools to encourage wholistic functional movement.
SHAPING EXPERIENCES
An exploration of relationship and movement: This class is an exploration of movement in relation to another: Our postures, gestures, facial expressions and movements translate into conscious and unconscious meaning that change as awareness and new possibilities of movement arise. In this structured and supportive experiential class, we will explore movement and our interpersonal patterns. Some discussion will deepen understanding of what is discovered through direct experience, personal and interpersonal processes. Our life is one continuous web of shared sensory experience. As awareness arises throughout the class work, participants will have the opportunity to experience greater aliveness, ease, and well being internally, as well as with others.
TRANCE DANCE
A contemporary shamanic intention ritual that uses intention, breathwork, a blindfold and music. The ritual can be experienced individually or in groups.
TRIBAL FUSION BELLY DANCE
Level I - Beginning
A journey of self discovery through the core foundational movements of bellydance.
Level II - Intermediate (some belly dance experience required)
Adding Up-Beat and Luscious Layers of Movement.
