DESCRIPTIONS
INNER RADIANCE QIGONG
Inner Radiance Qigong is a comprehensive set of eight postures that is
an effective and easy-to-learn program. These postures can be used to
increase energy, vitality, and allow practitioners to sense and build
their Inner Radiance. With continued practice this unique set opens and
strengthens the deep muscles of the body, creating overall physical integration
and Qi flow.
MEDICAL QIGONG
Qigong is the Art of moving the universal energy or "Qi" through
the body using breath, focused concentration and movement. Learn simple
effective exercises to energize, cleanse and balance the body's internal
organs and energetic systems. Medical Qigong, one of the four main branches
of Chinese medicine, is a system of health care that recognizes the root
causes of symptoms or disease, and treats the client as a whole person.
Practiced as an adjunct to Western medicine, medical qigong addresses
the energetic imbalances or blockages that contribute to illness. Medical
Qigong is a healing modality that has been practiced in China for over
2,000 years.
THE NIA TECHNIQUE
Nia is an instructor-led movement class done barefoot to music that combines
dance, martial and healing arts and delivers cardiovascular and whole
body conditioning. Nia is easy to follow and leaves you feeling physically
energized and emotionally vibrant. Nia is taught in 3 levels making it
accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels.
NIA 5 STAGES
Based on the five stages of human development: Embryonic, Creeping, Crawling,
Standing, Walking. Practiced with conscious awareness in our adult bodies,
these stages have the power to facilitate optimal alignment, improved
function and comfort in the body. Whether practiced at length or for as
little as five minutes a day, this system provides a tool for reclaiming
and sustaining mobility, flexibility, strength, agility and stability.
PILATES MAT CLASS
Strengthen your core and align the whole body with corrective, therapeutic
exercise. Use breath, precision and control as well as concentration to
reach your potential for a healthy and balanced body.
PILATES EQUIPMENT CIRCUIT
Experience pilates on the reformer, trapeze table, wunda chair, large
barrel, spine corrector, and other pilates props in a group circuit. A
minimum of 5 private sessions or instructor permission is required to
join.
SHAPING EXPERIENCES
Group somatic psychotherapy. You will be guided in experiential exercises
with group sharing and dyads. Discover how the body and movement are foundational
to our sense of self, our perception of the world, and how we relate to
others. These sessions assist to come into a greater sense of ease in
your body and your life.
TAI CHI
The slow flowing movements of Tai Chi promote relaxation, balance, calmness,
and patience. The practice of Tai Chi can strengthen your joints, tendons,
and ligaments while supporting cardiovascular health. This class will
focus on Tai Chi Principle and the movements of the Yang style short form.
The class has been designed for drop-in students to enjoy and on-going
students to deepen in their understanding and practice of Tai Chi.
TRANCE DANCE
A contemporary shamanic intention ritual that uses intention, breathwork,
a blindfold and music. The ritual can be experienced individually or in
groups.
TRIBAL FUSION BELLY DANCE
Level I – Beginning
A journey of self-discovery through the core foundational movements of
belly dance.
Level II - Intermediate (some belly dance experience required)
Adding Up-Beat and Luscious Layers of Movement.
